Federal recreation grants
The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department administers two federal grant programs that benefit public outdoor recreational facilities used by North Dakotans. Use the menu on the left or click below to find more information about these programs.
Land & Water Conservation Fund—This federal grant program provides 50/50 matching grants for outdoor recreation projects by state and local political subdivisions.
Recreational Trails Program—Funding for this program comes through the Federal Hisway Administration and provides 80/20 matching grants for both motorized and non-motorized trail projects.
