Devils Lake State Park Camping Options

Sometimes, just one day simply isn’t enough to explore a place and that’s often the feeling visitors have when they visit one of North Dakota’s most picturesque spots, Devil’s Lake, which just so happens to be the state’s largest as well. If you’re looking for Devils Lake State Park camping options, here are several well-recommended sites.

Grahams Island State Park Campsite and Camping Cabins

Devils Lake itself is found in Grahams Island State Park, which encompasses over 1,100 acres of scenic landscape and offers a bait shop for fishing enthusiasts, a boat ramp at their Black Tiger Bay State Recreation Area, and excellent camping facilities.

Primitive camping is available at just $12 per night without electricity and $20 for hookups. Camping cabins are available at just $40 per night. As there are only four cabins available, reservations are highly encouraged.

Each cabin can accommodate a maximum of 5 persons. It comes with bunk beds, lighting and heating, an electric fan for warmer nights of summer, and your own patio. Although cooking is prohibited, each cabin has an outside picnic table and grill for outdoor meals. Camping cabins are not equipped with their own restrooms although the state park’s bathing and restroom facilities are well within walking distance.

For camping groups, the Sivert Thompson Activities Center is available at only $150 per day. It can accommodate a maximum of 180 persons and is equipped with its own indoor restroom and basic kitchen facilities.

For smaller groups, a picnic shelter, composed of 4 picnic tables, is available at only $25 per day.

Eastbay Campground

Located at the eastern front of Devils Lake, this campsite offers primitive and tent camping as well as RV hookups. For hookups, visitors are charged $20 per night. Various wattages are available. Primitive camping is at $15 per night while tent camping is at $18 per night. There are also 7 camping cabins available for rent.

The campground also offers a bait shop as well as a fish cleaning house for those who wish to sample the world class waters of Devils Lake. Shower and restroom facilities are handicapped-accessible and laundry-on-demand (coin-operated) is offered.

Minnie H RV Court

Located at College Drive, this campground offers excellent RV hookup facilities and is perfect for those who prefer privacy when camping. Besides coin-operated laundry, car wash and dry cleaning are also available. Hookups are offered at only $25 per night.

Thanks for the comment kevin.

Each park review should contain contact information. I’d send a number now, but it varies by park.
