Sitting Bull Burial Sites

Sitting Bull, who was also known as Tatanka Iyotake, had died on December 15, 1890 in Western Standing Rock. His remains were then buried at Fort Yates and is located just a mile away from the scenic byway.
Later, it is believed that his remains were relocated to Mobridge in South Dakota. Korczak Ziolkowski, the famous sculptor, had sculpted his monument there.
