Calendar of Special Events

September

September 1—NATIONAL HUNTING & FISHING DAY, Cross Ranch State Park. A day set aside to recognize the sports of hunting and fishing.  We plan to have special guests and events to recognize the joys that hunting and fishing can provided.  Improve your skills. Events and times to be announced at a later time.

September 5-6—GARRISON FALL WALLEYE CLASSIC. Ft. Stevenson State Park. Maximum 130 teams competing for top prize money (1-800-799-4242).

September 6-7—SODBUSTER DAYS, Fort Ransom State Park. The fall event focuses on harvest techniques from the early 20th century.

September 7—PIONEER MACHINERY SHOW, Icelandic State Park. Machinery parade, threshing, tractor pull, kids peddle pull, entertainment, displays, and breakfast. All located at the Pioneer Machinery Site (across the road from the park).

September 27-28—SHEYENNE VALLEY ARTS AND CRAFTS ASSOCIATION FALL FESTIVAL, Fort Ransom State Park. 41st annual festival held in the town of  Fort Ransom.

September 27 (10 a.m.)—NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY, Beaver Lake State Park. Volunteer to help make a difference on our public lands through various projects in Beaver Lake State Park.

September 27—NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY, Cross Ranch State Park. Do you care about your favorite state park? Do you enjoy being a volunteer and doing some good? Do you enjoy being in the outdoors while getting a feeling of accomplishment. Then join us at Cross Ranch State Park and take advantage of the opportunity to help us improve our public lands by cleaning up the park.
