Lake Metigoshe State Park

Cabins, dorms & meeting facilities

Lake Metigoshe State Park features year-round family cabins, group dormitories and kitchen/dining hall. Beginning April 1, 2008, cabin and campsite reservations may be made online or by calling the toll-free reservation line, 800-807-4723. For dorms, kitchen/dining hall or shelters, contact the park directly.

Each fully-furnished cabin is tucked in the woods near Lake McDonald in the northern part of the park. Each is equipped with a kitchen, wheelchair accessible bathroom with shower and gas fireplace. All you need to bring is your bedding, towels, soap and food.

All three cabins are available year-round. During the winter months, rent a set of cross country skis or snowshoes at the park office and explore the park's grommed ski trails. The cabins also have easy access to area snowmobile trails through the Turtle Mountains.

Loon LodgeLoon Lodge

Loon Lodge sleeps four in 2 bedrooms. One bedroom is equipped with a bunkbed, while the other has a queen bed. Other amenities include a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with stove and refrigerator, bathroom with accessible shower, and deck. Loon Lodge floor plan (PDF, 56KB)

Rental fee—$75/night.

White Pelican CabinWhite Pelican Cabin

White Pelican Cabin sleeps six. It has two bedrooms, one furnished with a bunkbed and the second with a queen bed. There is also a futon in the living area that folds out into a bed. For those bringing bedding, the futon takes queen-sized sheets. Other amenities include a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with stove and refrigerator, bathroom with accessible shower, and deck. Slemmen LodgeSlemmen Lodge

Slemmen Lodge is the largest of the cabins and can sleep up to 8 people. It includes one bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Three futons in the living area fold out to make beds and take queen-sized sheets. Other amenities include a gas fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with stove and refrigerator, bathroom with accessible shower, and deck. Slemmen Lodge floor plan (PDF,52KB)

Rental fee—$95/night

Dormitories

2 group dorms each sleep 60 bunkbed-style. Users must provide own bedding. Showers adjacent to dorm buildings.

Rental fee—$6/night per person, minimum charge of $125.

Kitchen/Dining Hall

The park's kitchen and dining hall building can seat 160 people and has a fully equipped kitchen.

Picnic Shelters

The park has two small shelters that can seat 25 (no electricity). In addition there is a large picnic shelter with electricity that has a max. capacity of 100.

Rental fees—small shelter $20/day; large shelter $50/day
